Jammu, July 15:
Security forces on Wednesday busted a terrorist hideout and recovered a large quantity of ammunition during a joint search operation in the Sawjian sector of Poonch district.
According to officials, the operation was launched in the Garha area of Sawjian in Mandi tehsil following specific intelligence inputs.
During the search, security forces detected a terrorist hideout and recovered 246 rounds of PIKA rifle ammunition concealed inside it.
The recovered ammunition was seized, while the hideout was subsequently destroyed by the security forces.
Officials said the area was sanitized following the recovery, and further searches were launched to rule out the presence of any additional weapons, ammunition or suspicious material.
