JAMMU, MAR 06: The Transport Commissioner of Jammu and Kashmir, Vishesh Paul Mahajan, on Thursday directed all schools to install CCTV cameras in their buses by March 31, 2025, to enhance student safety.
As per the statement issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, enforcement agencies have been instructed to conduct special drives from April 1, 2025, to ensure compliance with the directive. Schools failing to adhere to the order will face action under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and the rules framed thereunder.
