JAMMU, NOV 28: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) on Thursday recovered a stolen scooty and arrested the accused responsible for the theft in Jammu.
As per the release issued to The Newsroom 24 -Awaz, the breakthrough came following a complaint lodged by Kishore Kumar, a resident of Siot, District Rajouri, regarding the theft of his scooty (registration number JK11E-1672) near Billu Mandir, Panjtirthi, on September 11, 2024.
Acting on the complaint, Police Post Panjtirthi promptly registered an FIR No. 102/2024 under Section 303(2) BNS at Police Station Pacca Danga. The investigation, spearheaded by SHO Pacca Danga and ICPP Panjtirthi, was conducted under the close supervision of SDPO City North Jammu and the guidance of SP City North.
During the course of the investigation, a suspect, identified as Varun Gill, son of William Gill and a resident of Sajalpur Marh, Jammu, was detained for questioning.
Upon interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime, leading to the recovery of the stolen scooty.
