JAMMU, FEB 24: The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) on Monday announced scheduled power shutdowns in various areas of Jammu and Kathua districts for maintenance and upgrade works.
As per the statement issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, Chief Engineer (Distribution) JPDCL Jammu informed that the power supply to Ware House, Jewel, and adjoining areas will remain affected on February 25 from 8 am to 12 noon. However, essential services in PHE, MAM Stadium, Dogra Mohalla, and nearby areas will continue to receive electricity through an alternative source during this period.
In Kathua district, the Superintending Engineer (Distribution) JPDCL, O&M Circle Kathua, has announced that the power supply to Logate Industry, Sahar, Sher Kotla, Kumri, Kathera, Boura, Bhed Blode, and adjoining areas will remain suspended on February 25 from 8 am to 1:30 pm.
Additionally, residents in Nagri, Airwan, Saispur, Khakyal, and nearby localities will experience a power outage on February 24 from 8 am to 3 pm due to necessary maintenance activities.
The JPDCL has urged residents and businesses in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements and has expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the shutdown.
