Power Shutdown

JAMMU, FEB 22: The Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL, Jammu has announced scheduled power shutdowns in various areas of Kathua and Jammu for maintenance and upgradation work.

As per the statement issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, the power supply will remain affected as follows:

  • February 23 (10 AM to 5 PM): Kathua Town, Kalibari, Shaheedi Chowk, Patel Nagar, Shastri Nagar, PHE, and adjoining areas.
  • February 23 (10 AM to 4 PM): Logate (Industrial Area), Kumri Kathera, MES Janglote, IIDC, Govindsor, Changran, Nagri, Palli, Nicer Paper Mill, and adjoining areas.
  • February 23 (10 AM to 5 PM): Katal-Brahmna, Katal-Gujran, Sherpur, Londi, and adjoining areas.
  • February 22 & 23 (9 AM to 5 PM): Bhoond, Bani, Duggan, Basohli, Mahanpur, JNV, PHE, Saman Jandrota, and adjoining areas.
  • February 23 (10 AM to 5 PM): Rajpura, Sherpur, Kattal Brahmana, Mawa, and adjoining areas.

Additionally, the Superintending Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL, O&M Circle Kathua has issued the following shutdown schedule:

  • February 23 (8 AM to 12 Noon): Naryanpur, Barnoti, Flote, Mahichack, Sakta Chack, and adjoining areas.
  • February 23 (8 AM to 2 PM): Logate Industry, Sahar, Sher Kotla, Kumri, Kathera, Boura, Bhed Blode, and adjoining areas.
  • February 22 (7 AM to 1 PM): Old Mawa and its adjoining areas.
  • February 22, 23 & 24 (7 AM to 1 PM): Vijaypur Industry, Old Vijaypur, and adjoining areas.

Residents of these areas are advised to take necessary precautions and plan their activities accordingly.
