In a stirring display of military tradition and national pride, the Northern Command Investiture Ceremony 2026 was held today at the Dhruva Auditorium. The event served as a powerful tribute to the “Always in Combat” spirit of the Indian Army’s most operationally active command.
The Ceremony of Excellence
Presided over by Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, GOC-in-C Northern Command, the ceremony recognized the extraordinary bravery and selfless dedication of soldiers who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.
A total of 93 awards were presented, honoring both individual acts of gallantry and collective unit excellence.

The Army Commander emphasized that Northern Command remains at the forefront of safeguarding national security, dealing resolutely with both conventional warfare and new-age hybrid threats.
