Free Eye Screening Camp

JAMMU, MAR 11: In a bid to provide accessible healthcare services, Samvedna Society Chairman Keshav Chopra on Tuesday organized the 93rd free eye screening and check-up camp at the office of the Director Horticulture Planning & Marketing in Narwal, Jammu. The camp was held in collaboration with Sood Eye Centre, a unit of Agarwal Hospitals, and was inaugurated by Deputy Director Horticulture Planning & Marketing Ayaz Ahmed Natnoo.

As per the statement issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, the camp witnessed a significant turnout, with 103 people receiving free eye treatment, including refraction, NCT, AR check-up, and vision screening by a team of specialists. Free medicines were also provided to patients. The initiative not only facilitated eye check-ups but also aimed to raise awareness about the importance of regular eye examinations, early detection of eye-related issues, and the role of nutrition in maintaining eye health.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Director Ayaz Ahmed Natnoo lauded the efforts of the Samvedna Society in organizing regular health camps across various locations. He commended Keshav Chopra and his team for their dedication to serving humanity and ensuring healthcare reaches those in need.

Keshav Chopra emphasized that the Samvedna Society is committed to providing quality healthcare services to all sections of society. He noted that this particular camp was arranged to benefit both the staff and local residents. He further announced that cataract removal surgeries would also be conducted free of cost for patients covered under the Ayushman Bharat Golden Card scheme.

Several dignitaries and officials, including Ashwani Kumar (Assistant Director), Dr. Pankaj Gupta (Auditor), Sunil Singh (Assistant Director Planning), Ashok Kumar, Rakesh Bali, Sourav Sangral (AMO), Ashish Sharma, Anees, Anju Chopra, Hiteshwar, Vikas Kumar, Manoj Tandon, Sourav Gupta, and others, were present at the event.
