Jammu, March 14:
The spirit of patriotism swept through the Golden Star Academy in Sohal, Akhnoor, today as the VOW Club Gandharwan presented a stirring play titled “KARGIL.” Organized on March 14, 2026, the production was part of the Cultural Function and Production Grant (CFGP) scheme under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
The event served as a poignant walk through the corridors of history, honoring the courage, blood, and sweat of the soldiers who defended India’s borders.
A Distinguished Gathering
The performance was graced by several prominent figures from the region, led by Hon’ble DDC Akhnoor and Veer Nari, Smt. Sharda Bhau Ji, who attended as the Chief Guest. Her presence added deep emotional resonance to the event, given her personal connection to the sacrifices made by the armed forces.

The play brought the harrowing and heroic tales of the Kargil War to the stage, featuring a talented cast that included Sudhir, Anil, Bini, Altmas Khan, and Shalini. Their performances were met with high praise for capturing the grit and determination of the Indian soldier.
The audience, including the Chief Guest and local residents, lauded the VOW Club for choosing such a profound theme and executing it with excellence. The play was described as a heartfelt tribute to the “unsung heroes” who stand guard so the nation can sleep in peace.
