Jammu, July 20: District Police Jammu on Monday conducted a public auction of vehicles seized under Section 52-A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, generating revenue of ₹14.27 lakh through a transparent bidding process.
The auction was held at the District Police Lines (DPL), Jammu under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Joginder Singh. The auction committee comprised SP Headquarters, DySP DAR, DySP Headquarters, DySP ANTF and the Accounts Officer, Jammu.
A total of 11 vehicles seized in connection with NDPS Act cases were auctioned through an open and transparent bidding process in accordance with the legal provisions governing the disposal of seized property.
According to the police, the auction was conducted in compliance with the provisions of the NDPS Act and the directions of the competent authorities, ensuring transparency, accountability and adherence to all legal procedures.
