Gita Jayanti Mahotsav

JAMMU, DEC 11: On the auspicious occasion of Ekadashi, Churamani Sanskrit Sansthan organized a grand celebration for Gita Jayanti Mahotsav, along with a foundation stone laying and Bhoomi Pujan ceremony on Wednesday. The event, deeply rooted in Sanatan cultural traditions, showcased the spiritual and cultural richness of Indian heritage.

As per the statement issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony marked the beginning of constructing a new building at the institute. The rituals, considered crucial in Sanatan Dharma, aim to purify the soil by eliminating negative energies before construction. The foundation stone laying followed, involving the worship of auspicious symbols such as tortoises, snakes, fish, and urns adorned with gems, culminating in the placement of the first stone on the land.

The Gita Jayanti celebration featured students reciting the entire Bhagavad Gita with devotion and precision. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra, Principal of Churamani Sanskrit Sansthan, emphasized the timeless relevance of the Gita, stating, *”If society imbibes the teachings of the Gita, there is no need to refer to any other scripture, as it encompasses all knowledge and science.”*

Acharya Shashinath expressed gratitude to the students and Acharyas for their dedication, while Acharya Shatrughan Tripathi, Acharya Sahil Sharma, Acharya Raman Sharma, and Acharya Praveena encouraged the students with their insightful addresses.

The program’s success was attributed to the contributions of notable individuals, including Smt. Pushpa Devi Mangotra, Nitin Dobaliya, Vijayalakshmi, Meenakshi Sharma, Parth Sharma, and Mahendra Pal Upadhyay, whose efforts added grace and beauty to the event.
