JAMMU, NOV 05: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), Jammu Rural on Wednesday achieved a major success after they had arrested a drug paddler who is absconder and had been evading his arrest for the past nine (09) year, in Nagrota.

As per the release issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, it says that in a major breakthrough, Jammu (Rural) Police have arrested an absconder who had been evading arrest for the past nine years.

The release said that the accused has been identified as Mohd. Zubair, son of Nazir Hussain, caste Gujjar, resident of Rajouri. He was wanted in connection with a case registered under FIR No. 58/2017 under Section 279 RPC at Police Station Nagrota.

A warrant under Section 512 Cr.P.C had been issued against him by the Hon’ble Court of Munsiff JMIC Jammu, as he had been absconding since 2017.

Acting on specific inputs and persistent efforts, a police team from Police Station Nagrota, led by SHO PS Nagrota, successfully traced and apprehended the accused, ensuring his production before the Hon’ble Court for further legal proceedings.

Jammu (Rural) Police continues its sustained drive against absconders and proclaimed offenders to ensure justice and uphold the rule of law.
