The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with a blend of discipline, cultural pride, and deep-rooted Indian values at the Churamani Sanskrit Institute, Vishwasthali. The campus, known for its commitment to the Gurukul tradition, echoed with patriotic chants as students and faculty gathered to honor the nation’s constitutional ideals.
Ceremonial Flag Hoisting
The celebrations commenced in the early morning hours with the ceremonial unfurling of the Tricolour.

Chief Guest: Senior teacher Mrs. Lalita Sharma performed the honors, marking the pride and dignity of the republic.

National Anthem: Following the hoisting, the entire “Gurukul family”—including Acharyas, female teachers (Acharyas), and students—sang the National Anthem and the National Song in a powerful display of unison.
Keynote: Duties and Constitutional Integrity
Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Lalita Sharma delivered an inspiring speech focusing on the balance between rights and responsibilities.
“The Indian Constitution grants us equality, freedom, and justice, but it also serves as a reminder of our duties. We must imbibe discipline, responsibility, and moral integrity as our contribution to national service.”
She encouraged the students to bridge the gap between ancient Sanskrit wisdom and modern civic responsibility, highlighting that character building is the foundation of a strong nation.
Student Performances: A Tribute to Sacrifice
The cultural segment of the program saw active participation from the students, who used art and music to pay homage to India’s freedom fighters.
Musical: Devotional and patriotic songs performed in Sanskrit and Hindi. Oratory: Speeches by students on the sacrifices of heroes and the path to progress. Unity Walk: A symbolic gathering within the campus to resonance the sense of brotherhood.
The program concluded with words of appreciation from the Acharyas, who praised the students’ confidence. The faculty noted that such celebrations are vital for nurturing “national consciousness” within the educational framework.
