The Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) Jammu marked a significant milestone today, celebrating its 33rd Foundation Day with a grand yet graceful ceremony held within its premises. The event, characterized by community spirit and administrative dialogue, saw the participation of top officials from the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
Gala Event with High-Profile Guests
The program commenced on a spiritual note with the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra. Mr. Rajinder P. Kakkar, President of TNWS, formally welcomed the distinguished guests:

Chief Guest: Dr. Devansh Yadav (IAS), Worthy Commissioner, JMC Jammu.

Guest of Honour: Dr. Vinod Sharma, Health Officer, JMC Jammu.
In a traditional gesture of respect, the guests were facilitated with Siropas, flower bouquets, and individual roses presented by the executive members of the society.
A Legacy of Community Service
During his address, President Rajinder P. Kakkar walked the audience through the society’s rich history. Founded in 1993 by Late Shri R.D. Gupta, the society was built on the principle of “By the people, for the people,” through local funding. Today, TNWS stands as a recognized body, decorated with numerous appreciation certificates from the J&K UT Government and the Government of India.
Key Highlights of the Celebration

Magazine Launch: The TNWS Annual Magazine (2025-26), detailing the society’s year-long initiatives, was officially released by the guests following a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony.

Development Demands: Er. Ashok Kumar Arora (Patron, TNWS) submitted a formal letter of demands to the JMC, highlighting the need for a new tube well, streamlined online building permissions, and various infrastructure upgrades.

Annual Report: Secretary Mr. Vijay Gupta presented a comprehensive summary of the activities conducted by the team during the 2025-26 term.
Administrative Assurance: Focus on Infrastructure and Health
Dr. Vinod Sharma (Health Officer, JMC) lauded the society’s four-year track record of cooperation. He urged residents to join hands with the JMC to eliminate the plastic menace and assured that pending health and sanitation issues are currently “in the pipeline” for quick resolution.

Online Building Permissions: The system has been successfully restored by JMC.

Water Supply: The New Tube Well project for Ward 54 has been placed in the merit action plan and will commence shortly.

On-Site Inspection: Following the meet, the Commissioner visited Sector 9, Ward 54, to assess ground realities and issued spot directions for immediate remedies.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Advocate Harshvardhan Gupta (General Secretary, TNWS), who expressed gratitude to the administration and the media for their unwavering support.
