Jammu, June 10:

Traffic movement on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) will remain partially suspended during night hours on June 12, 14 and 16 to facilitate road relaying works being carried out by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

According to officials, the District Magistrate Ramban has granted permission to NHAI for execution of bituminous relaying works at various locations, including the critical stretch at Nachlana on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.

As per the traffic advisory, vehicular movement between Nashri and Navyug Tunnel will remain suspended from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM on the intervening nights of June 12/13, June 14/15 and June 16/17.

In view of the night closure, no vehicle of any kind will be allowed to proceed from Udhampur towards Ramban, Banihal and Srinagar after 5:00 PM on the specified dates.

Similarly, traffic movement from Qazigund towards Banihal, Ramban, Udhampur and Jammu will not be permitted after 8:00 PM.

Authorities have advised load carrier operators transporting fresh perishables and livestock to plan their loading and travel schedules accordingly.
