JAMMU, DEC 02: Tejas Ek Pahal Foundation NGO team, led by its Chairman Akash Parihar om Monday met Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan, Jammu, to discuss initiatives for tourism development in the Doda district.

As per the release issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, the delegation, which included Koshal Singh, Youth President of the NGO, Koshal Singh, Raj Kumar (Executive Team Member), Suresh Rajput (Secretary), and Dharminder Parihar, presented a detailed proposal highlighting the immense tourism potential of Doda. They underlined the district’s untapped natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and historical significance, which could significantly contribute to the local economy.

During the discussion, the team stressed the urgent need for improved infrastructure, including better road connectivity and accommodations, as well as promotional campaigns to attract tourists. They also emphasized the importance of adopting sustainable tourism practices to benefit local communities while preserving the environment.

LG Sinha appreciated the efforts of the Tejas Ek Pahal Foundation and assured the delegation of the administration’s full support. He expressed keen interest in incorporating Doda’s tourism potential into the broader development framework for Jammu and Kashmir and emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government, NGOs, and local stakeholders to achieve this goal.

The meeting ended on a positive note, with both parties agreeing to work together on strategies to promote tourism in Doda effectively.
