In a significant move to upgrade healthcare infrastructure for both visiting devotees and regional residents, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) today dedicated a modern, state-of-the-art Dental Lab at the Maa Durga Dental Clinic in Katra. The clinic is operated by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Charitable Society under the aegis of the Shrine Board.
The cutting-edge facility was officially inaugurated by Shri Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Chief Executive Officer, SMVDSB.
High-Tech Prosthodontics at Nominal Rates
Developed at an approximate cost of ₹43.54 Lakh, the newly established laboratory is packed with advanced digital dental technologies. It aims to deliver top-tier dental care and customized prosthodontic solutions at highly subsidized, affordable rates.

The Digital Shift: Say Goodbye to Traditional Molds
A standout feature of the new lab is the integration of modern intraoral scanning technology. This replaces the uncomfortable and time-consuming traditional method of taking manual dental impressions. Utilizing digital scanners, a patient’s oral structure can now be mapped out quickly and comfortably.
These digital blueprints are seamlessly transferred to specialized software for flawless designing, drastically reducing manual errors and ensuring a much faster turnaround time for patients requiring treatment.

Speaking immediately after the inauguration, CEO Sachin Kumar Vaishya emphasized that the Shrine Board is on a continuous path to upgrading pilgrim amenities, healthcare infrastructure, and overall facilities.
