Dr. Uttam Chand Shastri Pathak Laboratory

JAMMU, SEPT 25: Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sansthan Trust and Kalindi Nursing Home jointly organized a program to commemorate the fourth death anniversary of the renowned Sanskrit scholar, Dr. Uttam Chand Shastri Pathak on Wednesday. During the event, Kalindi Nursing Home dedicated its laboratory in his honor, naming it the “Dr. Uttam Chand Shastri Pathak Laboratory.” In a unique gesture to promote the Sanskrit language, all nameplates within the nursing home were written in Sanskrit.

The event’s chief guest, Mr. Shakti Pathak, Chief Trustee of the Chudamani Sanskrit Institute, Basohli, praised the initiative and highlighted the importance of Sanskrit in preserving Indian culture. “Without the divine language of Sanskrit, the knowledge of Indian culture and traditions is incomplete. Sanskrit is read as it is written, and many words from Sanskrit enrich other Indian languages. To enrich our thinking, we must follow the path shown by the late Dr. Uttam Chand Pathak,” he said. He further commended the efforts to dedicate the laboratory in Dr. Pathak’s name and promote Sanskrit through nameplates, congratulating the trust and nursing home.

Rohit Shastri, representing Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sansthan Trust, acknowledged Dr. Uttam Chand Shastri Pathak’s invaluable contributions to the promotion and development of Sanskrit. “Students mentored by Dr. Pathak now hold esteemed positions in both state and central governments. His dedication to Sanskrit is an inspiration, and the youth should follow in his footsteps to preserve and promote cultural heritage,” he remarked.

Dr. Vishva Gupta, Managing Director of Kalindi Nursing Home, shared that his decision to name the laboratory after Dr. Pathak was inspired by the scholar’s legacy. He also announced special concessions for Sanskrit speakers at the nursing home, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to promoting the language.
