JAMMU, JAN 11: In a commendable effort to serve the public, Jammu & Kashmir Police (JKP) on Saturday successfully recovered and returned 35 lost and stolen smartphones worth over ₹7 lakh to their rightful owners in Jammu district. The initiative was part of Operation “Re-CONNECT”, launched by Jammu Police to trace and restore lost devices to their owners.
Over the past two months, the specialized Tech Team of Jammu Police’s Headquarter Zone worked tirelessly to trace and recover the smartphones from various parts of Jammu and Kashmir. These devices had been reported missing at different police stations and border police posts across the district.
The recovered smartphones were handed back to their owners during an emotional ceremony held at the office premises of the SP Headquarters, Jammu. The event was attended by SP Headquarters Jammu and SDPO RS Pura, who witnessed scenes of joy and relief as the owners were reunited with their cherished devices.

To ensure rightful ownership, the devices were returned only after a thorough verification process involving identity documents and original mobile bills.
