Amit Shah
MENDHAR, SEPT 21: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said that Pakistan is afraid of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, resulting in a significant drop in ceasefire violations (CFV) along Jammu’s borders. He warned that if Pakistan fires even a single bullet, India will respond with artillery shells.

Speaking at a rally in Mendhar, Shah highlighted the peace in border areas, attributing it to Pakistan’s fear of Modi’s leadership. He contrasted this with the frequent shelling during the tenure of Dr. Farooq Abdullah. “Those days are gone. Any misadventure by Pakistan will be met with a strong response,” Shah said.

Shah blamed Dr. Farooq Abdullah for the rise of terrorism in J&K, accusing previous governments of depriving the Paharis, Gujjars, and Bakerwals of their rights. He vowed to equip these communities by recruiting them into security forces, unlike the past, where youth were handed guns to fuel violence. He also assured that the Pahari reservation would not be reversed, regardless of any opposition.

Shah criticized the Abdullah, Mufti, and Gandhi families for the deaths of thousands of people, claiming their policies stalled democratic processes in J&K. He praised the current government for conducting Panchayat and local elections, ensuring democratic representation for over 30,000 people.

Backing BJP candidate Murtaza Khan, Shah emphasized his role in advocating for Pahari reservations and urged the people to support him in the upcoming elections. He concluded by expressing BJP’s vision to make Jammu a world-class tourism destination.
