Jammu, Feb 21:

BJP Spokesperson and Convenor of International Affairs, Gaurav Gupta, launched a scathing attack on the Congress party today, accusing its youth wing of attempting to sabotage India’s global reputation.

The controversy follows a series of disruptions by Youth Congress workers at the AI Impact Summit 2026 held at Bharat Mandapam, an event designed to showcase India’s leadership in Artificial Intelligence.

“Chaos Over Country”

Gupta characterized the protest not as democratic dissent, but as a “premeditated attempt” to embarrass the nation in front of global tech pioneers and investors.

“When the world gathered to witness India’s leadership in AI, Congress workers chose chaos over country and disruption over dignity,” Gupta stated.

He argued that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is positioning India as a global technology powerhouse, the opposition is focused on “theatrics” that tarnish the national image.

A Pattern of Obstruction

The BJP spokesperson claimed this incident is part of a “consistent and dangerous” political pattern. Gupta listed several instances where he believes Congress undermined the state:

  • Global Platforms: Accusing leaders of questioning India’s judiciary and electoral processes on foreign soil.

  • The COVID-19 Pandemic: Alleging that the party cast doubt on India’s vaccine capabilities during a national crisis.

  • G20 Delhi Summit: Recalling how Congress dismissed the 2023 diplomatic triumph as “event management” and manufactured controversies over the use of the name ‘Bharat’.

Summit Hostility vs. National Interest

Gupta emphasized that the AI Impact Summit was a national platform, not a partisan one. He suggested that the Congress party’s “frustration” with India’s rising global stature has evolved into “open hostility” toward the country’s actual achievements.

Demands for an Apology

Concluding his statement, Gupta called for an unconditional apology from the Congress leadership. He asserted that while the world respects India’s growth and stability, the Indian public would not forgive those who prioritize “narrow political survival” over national prestige.

“India is rising as an economic force and a diplomatic power,” Gupta concluded. “The people are watching.”
