Mahant Rohit Shastri, President of Shri Kailakh Jyotish and Vedic Sansthan Trust, met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday and discussed various issues related to the preservation and promotion of Sanskrit language and Vedic studies in the Union Territory.
During the meeting, Mahant Rohit Shastri highlighted the importance of strengthening Sanskrit education and promoting Vedic knowledge through academic and cultural initiatives.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Lieutenant Governor for the creation of Sanskrit faculty posts at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, calling it a significant step towards encouraging higher education and research in Sanskrit.
The meeting focused on efforts to preserve India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage by supporting Sanskrit language and Vedic studies in educational institutions.
