Srinagar, March 3:
Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha chaired a high-level security meeting at the Police Control Room (PCR) Kashmir on Tuesday to conduct a comprehensive review of the prevailing law and order situation in the valley.
The meeting comes at a crucial time, with the LG emphasizing the need for proactive measures to maintain the current momentum of peace and developmental progress in Jammu & Kashmir.
Strategic Directives for Security Forces
During the session, the Lieutenant Governor issued a series of directives to the senior brass of the police and civil administration. He specifically instructed officials to:

Maintain a heightened state of alert across all districts.

Implement necessary measures to preemptively thwart any attempts to disturb public peace and tranquillity.
- Ensure seamless coordination between the civil administration and security agencies to address emerging challenges.
High-Level Attendance
The meeting saw the participation of the top tier of J&K’s security and administrative leadership:
Shri Nalin Prabhat (DGP J&K), Shri S.J.M Gillani (Special DG), Shri Anand Jain (ADGP Armed), Shri Nitish Kumar (ADGP CID), Shri V.K Birdi (IGP Kashmir) and Shri Anshul Garg (Divisional Commissioner Kashmir).
Other attendees included Shri Rajiv Pandey (DIG, CKR) and Shri Akshay Labroo (Deputy Commissioner Srinagar).
A Call for Collective Responsibility
Beyond administrative directives, LG Manoj Sinha made a direct appeal to the public. He urged citizens and community leaders to act as partners in governance by upholding social harmony.
“Preserving peace and sustaining the progress of society is a shared responsibility that rests equally upon each one of us,” the LG stated.
