SUNDERBANI, NOV 09: The Annual Sports Day of Kalidhar Memorial Army School (KMAS), Sunderbani on Sunday celebrated with great enthusiasm and participation, reflecting the true spirit of sportsmanship, discipline, and unity among students. The event witnessed active participation from around 325 students and 48 dedicated teachers, as boys and girls competed energetically across various sports categories.
The campus buzzed with excitement as students showcased their talent and teamwork in athletics, volleyball, basketball, tug of war, yoga, and other events. The celebration also included NCC drill demonstrations and karate performances, where students exhibited remarkable discipline and martial arts skills.
As per the statement issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, the event was graced by the Commander of Kalidhar Brigade, who motivated the young participants with inspiring words and presented medals to winners across different categories.

“The true victory lies in participation and learning,” said Neeru Sharma, Principal of KMAS, while applauding the students for their sportsmanship and energy. She emphasized that such events play a vital role in shaping disciplined, confident, and capable future leaders of the nation.
The Sports Day celebrations echoed the Khelo India motto, “Play and Progress,” encouraging students to embrace physical fitness and sports as an integral part of their education. The slogan “Fit India, Strong India” reverberated throughout the grounds, underscoring the importance of sports in building a healthy and resilient nation.
Sharing the excitement, one student said, “Sports Day was an amazing experience! I loved participating in the relay race and winning the gold medal.”
The success of the event once again highlighted KMAS’s commitment to holistic education, balancing academics with co-curricular and physical activities. By integrating sports and physical training into its curriculum, KMAS Sunderbani continues to uphold the vision of the Khelo India initiative launched by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, empowering students to lead active, healthy, and purposeful lives.
