Srinagar, May 19:
The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Monday ordered a fresh administrative reshuffle in the Union Territory, transferring and posting four officers with immediate effect. The order was issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) through Government Order No. 938-JK(GAD) of 2026.
According to the official order, Mr. Anil Banka (IAS, AGMUT: 2015), who was serving as Special Secretary in the Finance Department, has been transferred and posted as Director, Industries and Commerce, Kashmir. He replaces Mr. Khalid Majeed, JKAS, who has been directed to await further orders in the General Administration Department.
In another significant move, Ms. Mahima Madan (IAS, AGMUT: 2021), Additional Secretary in the Information Technology Department, has been appointed as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua. She was also holding additional charge as Chief Executive Officer, JAKeGA, and Director, Defence Labour Procurement, J&K. The officer she replaces, Mr. Vishavjeet Singh, JKAS, has been asked to await further adjustment orders in the GAD.
Meanwhile, Ms. Asha Choudhary Malhotra (IAS, AGMUT: 2022), who was awaiting adjustment orders in the General Administration Department, has been posted as Chief Executive Officer, JAKeGA. She will also hold the additional charge of Director, Defence Labour Procurement, J&K, until further orders.
The government has also transferred Mohd. Raiyaz, JKAS, Deputy Secretary in the Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment, and posted him as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Karnah-Tangdhar against an available vacancy.
The order was issued by M. Raju (IAS), Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, by the order of the Lieutenant Governor.
