Charanjeet Singh, a scholar from the Domana area of Jammu, has been officially declared qualified for the award of the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Punjabi by the University of Jammu.

Charanjeet Singh is the son of Sarwan Singh and Gurjeet Kour, residents of Garhi, Domana, Jammu. His achievement has brought immense pride to his family and the local academic community in the Jammu district.
Research Focus
Dr. Charanjeet Singh’s doctoral research centered on a comparative study of regional theater, titled:
“Punjabi Ate Dogri Natakan Da Tulnatmak Adhiyan (Devinder Daman Ate Jagdeep Dubey De Parsang Vich)” The study provides a deep dive into the dramatic works of Punjabi and Dogri literature, specifically analyzing the plays of renowned playwrights Devinder Daman and Jagdeep Dubey. His work is expected to contribute significantly to the understanding of cross-cultural themes and linguistic nuances in Northern Indian theater.
