Indian Army boxers have once again proven their dominance on the international stage, clinching a total of eight medals at the prestigious Asian Boxing Championship held in Mongolia.
The powerhouse performance, featuring three Gold, two Silver, and three Bronze medals, underscores the massive success of the Indian Army’s ‘Mission Olympics’ program and the elite training provided at the Army Sports Institute (ASI).
The Medal Tally: A Masterclass in the Ring
The Indian contingent showcased exceptional skill across both men’s and women’s categories, outclassing competitors from across the continent.
Men’s Category:
Gold; Vishwanath (50 kg), Silver; Sachin (60 kg), Bronze; Akash (75 kg), Bronze; Lokesh (85 kg) and Bronze; Narender (+90 kg).
Women’s Category:
Gold; Preeti (54 kg), Gold; Arundhati (70 kg) and Silver: Jasmine (57 kg).

The Army Sports Institute (ASI) has become the bedrock of India’s boxing success. Launched to scout and sharpen raw talent for global platforms, the Mission Olympics initiative provides sportspersons with a world-class ecosystem, professional coaching, and disciplined training.
