Jammu, Dec 22:

In a move to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world exploration, students of Kalidhar Memorial Army School (KMAS), Sunderbani, recently embarked on an inspiring “Village to City” educational tour.

The journey took students from classes 6th to 10th to some of the region’s most iconic landmarks, including the historic Amar Palace Heritage Museum and a state-of-the-art fish aquarium.

The tour was designed to provide a “perfect blend of motivation, nationalism, culture, and heritage.” For many students hailing from diverse rural backgrounds, the visit offered a fresh perspective on the state’s rich legacy and scientific advancements.

At Amar Palace, students walked through the corridors of history, connecting with the stories and artifacts that define the region’s cultural identity. The visit to the fish aquarium added a scientific dimension to the trip, sparking curiosity about marine life and biodiversity.

Principal Neeru Sharma called it a “landmark event, empowering young minds and aligning with government initiatives.” Teachers echoed the sentiment, calling it one of the best visits. The trip encouraged inclusion, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of India’s rich heritage.

This initiative by KMAS promoted experiential learning, taking students beyond classrooms to explore and learn. The visit left a lasting impact on young minds, inspiring them to become responsible citizens.
