JAMMU, SEPT 27: Amrinder Singh Raja Brar, Lok Sabha member from Ludhiana and President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC), issued a strong warning to the people of Jammu and Kashmir against the divisive politics of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during a series of public meetings today.
Speaking in support of Congress candidates in RS Pura, Jammu South, Suchetgarh, Jammu West, and Bahu constituencies, Brar criticized the BJP for diverting attention from critical issues by fostering societal divisions. “For over a decade, the BJP has made tall promises but delivered nothing. Their claim of creating 500,000 jobs is merely a hollow slogan,” he stated, highlighting the grim reality of unemployment affecting over 70 crore people across the country.
Brar emphasized that the BJP’s policies have disproportionately harmed the poor and allowed big businesses to exploit the region’s resources. “The people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve better governance. It’s time to hold the BJP accountable for their unfulfilled promises,” he urged.
The Congress leader also reiterated the party’s commitment to restoring statehood in Jammu and Kashmir, accusing the BJP of deliberately delaying this process to maintain control. “This delay is a tactic to exploit the region further,” he said, asserting that the Congress would continue to fight for the rights and dignity of the citizens.
Calling for unity against the BJP’s policies, Brar urged voters to support Congress candidates in the upcoming elections, promising sustainable employment and inclusive growth for all citizens. “Let’s reclaim our state’s dignity and prosperity,” he concluded.
