Jammu, August 25: In a significant administrative development, IPS Officer Abdul Jabbar (AGMUT: 2008) has been posted to the Jammu & Kashmir segment of the Joint AGMUT Cadre with immediate effect.
According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on August 25, 2026, the officer has joined the cadre on repatriation from Central Deputation.
The order, issued from Kartavya Bhavan, New Delhi, states that Abdul Jabbar has been posted to the J&K segment of the Joint AGMUT cadre until further orders.
As per the official order, the officer reported to the cadre on August 24, 2026, and the period between his reporting and the issuance of the posting order has been treated as “awaiting posting.”
The posting comes as Abdul Jabbar returns to the J&K segment of the AGMUT cadre following his stint on Central Deputation.
