DODA, SEPT 27: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Doda, Sudershan Kumar, convened a meeting on Friday at the DC Office to discuss preparations for the upcoming Navratra, Mahanavami, and Dussehra festivals, set to take place on October 3rd and 12th, 2024.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Doda, Superintending Engineers from the Hydraulics and JPDCL departments, Tehsildar, and other key stakeholders.
During the meeting, several key directives were issued:
- Water and Electricity Supply: The JPDCL and Jal Shakti Department were instructed to ensure uninterrupted supply during the celebrations.
- Emergency Medical Facilities: The CMO Doda was tasked with having emergency medical services on standby.
Security Arrangements: Special security measures were mandated for Ram Leela events at Government Middle School Doda and Nagri. - Sanitation and Traffic Management: Emphasis was placed on sanitation, lighting, fire services, crowd control, traffic management, and coordination among law enforcement agencies.
- Virtual Oversight: Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) and Tehsildars will participate virtually to oversee preparations and establish flying squad teams for market inspections.
The meeting concluded with a strong commitment from all officials to ensure that the festivities are celebrated smoothly and safely across the district.
