Srinagar, March 23:
A wave of grief hit the Manigah Shalabathu area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday after a Tata Sumo met with a fatal accident, leaving one person dead and three others struggling with serious injuries.
According to reports, the vehicle was carrying four passengers when the driver lost control, leading to the crash.

Immediately after the crash, locals and officials rushed to the spot to rescue the trapped passengers.

Fatal Casualty: The deceased, a local resident of the Manigah area, was killed instantly due to the impact of the crash.

The Injured: Three other passengers sustained multiple injuries and were evacuated to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Kupwara.
Medical officials at SDH Kupwara confirmed that the injured are currently under close observation. The body of the deceased has also been shifted to the hospital for necessary medico-legal formalities before being handed over to the family for last rites.
Investigation Launched
The local police have taken cognizance of the tragic incident. A case has been registered, and a preliminary investigation is underway to determine whether the accident was caused by mechanical failure, poor road conditions, or driver negligence.
