JAMMU, MAR 06: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh on Thursday held a Full Court reference at its Jammu Wing to condole the demise of several esteemed advocates who passed away in recent years.

As per the statement issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, the reference was conducted in the courtroom of Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan, who, along with other Judges, paid tribute to the late advocates—Subash Dutt, S. Karanbir Singh, Hafeez Ur Rehman, Sonam Dorjey, Chand Mohan Gupta, S. Jaspinder Singh, Bachan Lal Kalgotra, Ashok Parihar, Devki Nandan, and R.K. Bhatia.

Senior Additional Advocate General and the President of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, also addressed the gathering, recalling the contributions of the deceased lawyers. They extended condolences on behalf of government advocates and the Bar, praying for strength to the bereaved families.

Chief Justice Rabstan emphasized the dedication, hard work, and commitment of the late advocates, acknowledging their lasting impact on the legal fraternity. Judges from the Srinagar Bench participated in the proceedings virtually.

The reference concluded with a minute of silence in honor of the departed souls, following which court work was suspended for the remainder of the day.
