Suspends Three Employees

KISHTWAR, MAR 05: In a bid to ensure transparency and accountability in developmental works, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan (JKAS), on Tuesday conducted an inspection of MGNREGA and Rural Development Department (RDD) projects in Panchayat Sallana, Block Drabshalla. Taking a strict stance against irregularities, he ordered the immediate suspension of three employees for dereliction of duty.

As per the statement issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, the inspection aimed to assess the quality, progress, and compliance of ongoing works under government schemes. The visit follows a recent inspection in Block Mughalmaidan, where two staff members were suspended for falsifying attendance records under MGNREGA. Reinforcing his zero-tolerance policy, DC Kishtwar warned that any employee, including Mates, involved in such malpractice would face strict disciplinary action, including suspension or termination.

During the inspection, the DC found negligence on the part of Ayushi Sharma (VLW), Abdul Hamid (GRS), and Ravinder Kumar (GRS) and ordered their immediate suspension. He emphasized that infrastructure projects play a crucial role in socio-economic upliftment and must be executed without compromise.

Interacting with field staff and officials, he directed strict adherence to authentic attendance records under MGNREGA and stressed that accountability in public works is paramount. Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kishtwar, Phulail Singh, who accompanied the DC, assured that monitoring mechanisms are being strengthened to maintain integrity in developmental projects.

During the visit, DC Kishtwar also met with public delegations, addressing their grievances. He visited Bhadhat, Bugrana, and Baroti villages, reaching up to Kulchandna, the last habitation in the area. He instructed officials to ensure timely execution of projects and maintain strict vigilance on work quality.
