SRINAGAR, MAR 05: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas to facilitate emergency stabilization and infrastructure upgrade works.
As per the statement issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, the following shutdowns will be observed:
March 8, 2025 (10:00 AM – 03:00 PM): Power supply to Baramulla Main Town, DC Office, Kanlibagh, Sangri, and adjoining areas will be affected due to the shutdown of the 33KV Sheeri Baramulla-1st line for emergency stabilization work.
March 8, 2025 (10:00 AM – 03:00 PM): The 33/11KV Receiving Station Dhobiwan will remain off for the completion of pending transformer bay works, affecting Lalpora-B, Hardaboora, Tarhama, and nearby areas.
March 8, 2025 (10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon): Power supply to Soura, Zoonimar, Nowshera, and parts of the 90 ft road will be disrupted due to the dismantling of an old damaged four-pole tower near Aiwa Bridge.
March 9, 2025 (11:00 AM – 02:00 PM): Areas including Shuhama, Bakura, Darend, Nagbal, Fatehpora, Gadoora, Tulbagh, and Chundina will experience power cuts due to SMDB installation and pole erection for isolators on the 33KV Alusteng Nagbal line.
March 9, 2025 (10:30 AM – 01:30 PM): Wussan, Preng, Manigam, and Haripora will be affected due to the shutdown of the 33KV Kangan Wussan line.
March 10, 2025 (10:00 AM – 03:00 PM): The 33KV Nihalpora Pattan Amargarh line shutdown will impact power supply to Pattan, Zangam, Burn, Nihalpora, Pattan Hospital, Palhalan, Hamray, Wanigam, and nearby areas for pole replacement work.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to make necessary arrangements in advance.
