Missing Person Reunited

JAMMU, FEB 28: The Jammu and Kashmir Police have successfully traced and reunited a missing individual, Mohammad Zamurad, with his family in the Chinore area of Jammu. Zamurad, a resident of Bantalab, Jammu, was reported missing on February 21, 2024.

Upon receiving the missing person’s report at the Police Post Chinore, a dedicated police team initiated an investigation. Utilizing both technical resources and human intelligence, the team located Zamurad. After completing all necessary legal formalities, he was handed over to his legal heirs, and the missing person’s report has been officially closed.

The swift and effective action by the police has been widely appreciated by the general public, highlighting the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s commitment to public service. In 2024, the Jammu Police successfully traced and reunited 743 missing individuals with their families across the district, bringing relief to hundreds of households and reinforcing its dedication to maintaining law and order.

The police continue to urge citizens to report missing cases promptly, emphasizing that timely information is crucial for accelerating the search process and ensuring the safe return of missing persons.
