KISHTWAR, FEB 24: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) District Kishtwar, on Monday under the supervision of SSP Kishtwar Javaid Iqbal Mir-JKPS, paid rich tribute to the valiant martyr, Dy.SP Aman Thakur, on the 6th anniversary of his martyrdom in a solemn ceremony held on Saturday.
As per the statement issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, the tribute ceremony took place at the Martyrs Memorial at DPO Kishtwar, where Addl. SP Kishtwar Pawan Kumar, SP (OPS) Nissar Khoja-JKPS, Dy. SP Hqrs Dr. Ishan Gupta-JKPS, SDPO Marwah Vijay Kumar, along with other officers and officials, laid wreaths to honor the memory of the brave officer.
During the event, SSP Kishtwar delivered a heartfelt message, highlighting the dedication and courage displayed by Shaheed Dy.SP Aman Thakur during his service. He praised the late officer’s relentless efforts on the anti-terror front, which ultimately led to his supreme sacrifice. Dy.SP Aman Thakur was posthumously awarded the prestigious Shaurya Chakra for his exceptional bravery and commitment to the nation.
The J&K Police District Kishtwar reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the values and dedication embodied by Shaheed Dy.SP Aman Thakur, ensuring that his legacy continues to inspire future generations of police personnel.
