JAMMU, FEB 18: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking under Operation Sanjeevani, Jammu Police arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 15 grams of heroin (Chitta) during patrolling in Chak Bana, Bishnah.
As per the statement issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, a police team from Police Station Bishnah, led by SHO Sushil Choudhary under the supervision of SDPO R.S. Pura and overall guidance of SP Headquarters, intercepted three suspects who attempted to flee but were swiftly apprehended.
The arrested individuals have been identified as:
Rakesh Kumar Choudhary, son of Baldev Raj, resident of Bana Chak, Bishnah.
Jeet Raj, son of Som Nath, resident of Khour Dunian, Tehsil R.S. Pura.
Navjot Singh, son of Vikram Singh, resident of Khour Dunian, Tehsil R.S. Pura.
A thorough search of the accused led to the recovery of 15 grams of heroin-like substance.
A case FIR No. 16/2025 under Sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah, and further investigations are underway.
