JAMMU, JAN 24: Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha unveiled the J&K Kashi Vidwat Parishad’s Panchang Calendar for the year 2025 during a ceremony held at the Raj Bhawan on Friday.
The calendar, prepared by the parishad, provides detailed information about auspicious occasions, festivals, and religious rituals, aiming to serve as a guide for spiritual and cultural observances throughout the year.
Congratulating the team behind the initiative, the Lieutenant Governor expressed his appreciation for Padma Shri awardee Prof. Vishwa Murti Shastri, the President of J&K Shri Kashi Vidwat Parishad Jammu, along with the editorial team and other members of the organization.
During the event, members of the parishad raised significant concerns regarding the promotion of Sanskrit language and Vedic studies in Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing their concerns, the Lieutenant Governor assured them of appropriate action to resolve the issues discussed during the interaction.
