JAMMU, JAN 13: Students of Choodamani Sanskrit Sansthan Vishwasthali demonstrated exceptional knowledge and talent at the 62nd state-level classical competition held at Ranveer Campus, Jammu on Monday. The event, organized under the aegis of Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi, brought together more than 100 students from various Gurukuls and Sanskrit Mahavidyalayas across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Over two days, Saturday and Sunday, the competition became a platform to celebrate classical knowledge and ancient scriptures. Thirteen students from Choodamani Sanskrit Sansthan Vishwasthali participated in various contests, including classical speech, memorization, and Shalaka examinations, enhancing the prestige of their Gurukul. Among them, Ashwin Sharma, Vanit Sharma, and Kartik Verma stood out by securing first positions in their respective categories, earning accolades for their institution and the state.
Jammu city MLA Sagun Parihar, the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony, commended the participants for their scholarly pursuits and honored the achievers. Speaking on the occasion, Professor Shridhar Mishra, Director of Ranveer Campus, lauded the students for their exceptional grasp of knowledge at a young age. He remarked, “If such dedicated students are present in every household, the flow of knowledge in Jammu and Kashmir will be as sacred as the Ganga.”
Notably, the achievements of Choodamani Sanskrit Sansthan Vishwasthali students will extend beyond the state. Ashwin Sharma (Dhaturupa Kantha Patha), Vanit Sharma (Ashtadhyayi Kantha Patha), and Kartik Verma (Arthashastra Shalaka) have been selected to represent Jammu and Kashmir in the All India Elocution Competition, scheduled to be held in Haridwar in February-March.
