JAMMU, JAN 08: In a significant development under Operation Sanjeevani, Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) on Wednesday apprehended a drug peddler in Talab Tillo in Jammu district and seized 3.48 grams of heroin-like substance. The arrest was made by a team from Police Post Talab Tillo, operating under the jurisdiction of Police Station Nowabad.
As per the release issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, acting on specific inputs, the police had set up a naka at Puran Nagar, Talab Tillo, where they intercepted a pedestrian identified as Mohd. Rafi, son of Javed Ahmed, resident of Gujar Basti, Camp Gol Gujral, Jammu. A personal search led to the recovery of the contraband. Subsequently, a case under FIR No. 04/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Nowabad.
The operation marks another decisive step by Jammu Police in its ongoing battle against drug trafficking. The local community has praised the police for their unwavering efforts in combating the drug menace.
