SAMBA, JAN 02:  In a significant achievement, Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) on Thursday successfully traced two missing women from different areas and reunited them with their families in Samba district. The cases were reported at Police Stations Samba and Vijaypur.

As per the statement issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, the first case was reported on December 24, 2024, by the father of a missing woman from Dunai, Sumb. He stated that his daughter had gone missing from home, and despite the family’s efforts, her whereabouts remained unknown. A missing report was filed under DD No. 09 at Police Station Samba, and a search operation was initiated.

The second case was reported at Police Station Vijaypur on December 27, 2024, under DD No. 21 by Bawa Ram of Budhwal, Vijaypur. He informed the police about his wife’s disappearance, prompting the police to begin a search.

With relentless efforts, police teams from both stations successfully located the two women. Following the completion of legal formalities, they were reunited with their families, bringing relief to the distressed families. The missing reports were subsequently closed.

The families expressed their gratitude to Samba Police for their prompt and effective action, which ensured the safe return of their loved ones.
