Drug Peddlers Arrested

UDHAMPUR, DEC 27:  In a significant crackdown on drug peddling, police in Rehambal apprehended two individuals in possession of a heroin-like substance during a routine patrol at Malhar Morh area.

The suspects, identified as Vijay Sharma, son of Premu, resident of Jandrore, and Sushil Sharma, son of Paras Ram, resident of Kaghote, Tehsil Ramnagar, attempted to flee upon spotting the police team led by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Rehambal.

During a thorough frisking, the police recovered 4.60 grams of a heroin-like substance from the duo. Both individuals were arrested on the spot.

An FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Rehambal (FIR No. 262/2024), and further investigation into the case is underway.
