SHOPIAN, DEC 27: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar, conducted an extensive visit to Shopian town and Heerpora village along Mughal Road on Friday to oversee snow clearance efforts and ensure uninterrupted delivery of essential services across the district during winter.
The visit focused on ensuring smooth transportation and accessibility for residents and travelers despite snowfall. DC Saleem Dar emphasized the deployment of snow cutters, proactive snow clearance activities, and the maintenance of road connectivity, particularly to hospitals and other critical service points.
“Snow clearance has already been undertaken in the district, and the administration is committed to ensuring seamless services for the well-being of residents,” the DC affirmed during his tour.
Accompanied by key officials, including Additional District Development Commissioner Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone, ACR, Tehsildar, and others, the DC highlighted the importance of minimizing disruptions through proactive measures.
