SRINAGAR, NOV 28: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) on Thursday arrested two drug peddlers and recovered Psychotropic substance from their possession in Sopore.
As per the release issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, a Police party of Police Station (PS) Sopore and Police Post Bus Stand headed by SHO Police Station Sopore under the supervision of SDPO Sopore, at a checkpoint established at Neharpora Sopore intercepted 02 suspicious persons.
They have been identified as Nazir Ahmad Shah alias Bedana son of Mohammad Yousuf Shah and Nasir Yousuf Shah alias Bada Anta son of Mohammad Yousuf Shah, both the residents of Neharpora Sopore.
During search, officers were able to recover 264 capsules of banned drug (SpasmoProxyvon Plus) from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 243/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been initiated.
