JAMMU, NOV 26: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) on Tuesday under the operation “Sanjeevani,” made a breakthrough by apprehending one notorious lady drug peddler and recovered 5.5 grams of heroin (chitta) like substance from her possession.
As per the police handout issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, the notorious lady drug peddler namely Shamshad Akhtar wife of Amjad Khan alias Taiya resident of Sikanderpur Kothey, Bishanah arrested and recovered 5.5 grams of heroin like subastance from her possession.
The diligent efforts of the police team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Police Station Bishnah culminated in the arrest of the accused person at Sikanderpur Kothey, Bishnah. The recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu.
In this connection,a case FIR No. 197/2024 U/S 8/21/22 of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah ,marking a step towards curbing the drug trade in the area.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
