JAMMU, OCT 31: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) under the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) R S Pura on Tuesday arrested two individuals in possession of sharp-edged weapons during a patrolling.
As per the release issued here, the patrolling led by Police Sub Inspector (PSI) Vinay Kumar, in-charge of BPP Badyal Brahmana. The suspects, identified as Rahul Kumar and Manshu Kumar, both residents of Ward No. 01 Bhore Chatha, Satwari, were found near Tawi in Badyal Brahmana carrying three tokas (sharp-edged weapons).
The apprehension followed a tip-off received at approximately 6:55 PM, prompting a swift response from the police team, which led to the suspects’ arrest and the weapon seizure.
A case, FIR No. 235/2024, has been registered under sections 3(5) BNS and 4/25 of the Arms Act at RS Pura Police Station. Further investigation is underway.
