“We have cross checked, the allegations are generic and vague,” informed police sources and added that the story behind the only specific allegation regarding a will of Rajinder Kour @ Pinky requires to be told to people.

A senior police officer informed The Newsroom 24 Awaz that this is a saga of true sacrifice, care and good intentions by Mr Mukesh Singh and his family during his posting at IGP and then ADGP Jammu .

The story narrated as, Rajinder Kour was a follower attached with Mukesh Singh (then IGP Jammu Zone) who was suffering from Cancer.

Pinky was completely taken care of by Mukesh Singh, who was posted as IGP Jammu Zone in August 2019, during the thick of corona spread, Singh took care of all the expenses of Rajinder Kour during this time when no one from her family even stood by her.

Later Mukesh Singh was poromted as ADGP Jammu in January 2021.

Not only Singh but his family too helped Pinky during her tough time. She had no one to take care of her and people in his house and at the hospital where she was treated are a witness to this.

While Pinky was dying, she made a will to spend all the money and property to take care of cancer patients or orphan children.

Sources informed that the fact is that the malicious propagator has mentioned that the property of a follower was worth 10 crores shows that it is a completely false and personal attack. It is also worth mentioning that the will is duly probated by the court of Principal District Judge which reflects its credibility.

Most importantly, the officer followed the will in letter and spirit and donated all the money (approximately 25 lakhs) to two orphanages in Jammu. When cross checked, the concerned at both, Balgran at Narwal and SOS Village at Talab Tillo confirmed about the receiving of amount in cheques by one Mrs Samita Priyadarshini, wife of Mr Mukesh Singh (IPS). These facts have been verified and found to be true.

The remaining property is also in the process of being donated as per the will, the concerned legal sources added.

It is clear that the dedicated and honest officer like Mukesh Singh has shown compassion, care and magnanimity by taking care of a cancer patient through her last days when no one from the family stood up and also by disposing the property in favor of orphans as per the will.

Sources also said that this is the clear matter of investigation that those spreading fake and malicious campaign against the officer need to be identified and exposed in public.

“People should be careful of these rumor mongers and hate spreaders and police have to take strong action against them,” sources added.
