KISHTWAR, SEPT 26: The District Election Officer of Kishtwar has suspended Deputy Chief Education Officer (Dy CEO) Masood Ahmed Qazi for alleged dereliction of duties. The suspension comes after Qazi reportedly left the headquarters without obtaining prior permission, affecting government functioning, including election-related work.
According to the official order, the Dy CEO’s unauthorized absence from his post hampered essential operations. “Pending further inquiry for his dereliction of duties, the said officer is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect,” the order stated.
During the suspension period, Qazi will remain attached to the office of the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Marwah. The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kishtwar has been tasked with conducting an inquiry into the matter and is expected to submit a report within a week, as per the order issued by the District Election Officer.
