SHOPIAN, MAR 06: Authorities in Shopian have shut down three medical shops for failing to maintain proper sale records and improper storage of medicines on Thursday. The action was taken during an intensive inspection drive conducted in Pinjoora, Pahlipora Trenz, Molu Dangerpora, and Turkawangam villages to ensure compliance with prevailing norms.
As per the statement issued to The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, the inspection focused on verifying adherence to regulations, particularly concerning the computerized billing system and record-keeping of scheduled formulations. During the drive, officials found multiple violations, leading to the closure of the erring establishments.
Chemists were directed to raise digital invoices and maintain records of scheduled formulations properly. Authorities also emphasized the mandatory installation of computerized billing systems to enhance transparency and regulatory compliance.
