REASI, AUGUST 22: The Chief Education Officer (CEO), Reasi, on Saturday directed all Heads of Institutions (HOIs) of Higher Secondary Schools, High Schools, Middle Schools and Primary Schools in the district to ensure the timely and accurate updating of the last three posting details of all officials and teachers on the JK EMIS Portal.
The directions were issued following communication received from the VSK Team, J&K UT, through virtual mode on August 18, 2026.
As per the order, the copy of which lies with The Newsroom 24 – Awaz, all HOIs have been instructed to log in to the JK EMIS Portal using the user ID and password provided through official email and update the posting details of all officials and teachers of their respective institutions. The information is required to be verified carefully against official records before final submission to avoid discrepancies.
The order further states that the entire process must be completed within the prescribed timeline under the personal supervision of the concerned HOI. Officials facing difficulties in logging in or having lost their credentials have been advised to seek assistance from the VSK Team through the prescribed support mechanism.
The CEO has also directed the nominated Master Trainers (MTs) of JK EMIS to conduct orientation programmes for all HOIs falling under their respective zones. The orientation is to be conducted in hybrid mode—both virtually and offline—in consultation with the concerned Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs), Zonal Education Planning Officers (ZEPOs) and Zonal VSK Teams.
The orientation programme has been scheduled to be completed by August 24, 2026, with emphasis on effective and practical use of the JK EMIS Portal, particularly regarding login procedures, navigation and updating of posting details.
Following the orientation, the concerned Master Trainers will submit attendance sheets and a brief report of the programme to the District Nodal Officer/VSK for compilation and maintenance of official records.
The concerned Zonal Education Officers have also been directed to adopt suitable mechanisms to ensure timely updating of posting details of officials and teachers in their respective zones. Principals, ZEOs and Headmasters have been asked to closely monitor the progress and ensure completion of the exercise within the stipulated timeframe.
A consolidated progress report on the updating of posting details is to be submitted to the office of the Chief Education Officer, Reasi, by August 29, 2026.
The order emphasized that the exercise is time-bound and of utmost importance, as updated information on the JK EMIS Portal is essential for maintaining accurate digital records and effective monitoring through the Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK).
The CEO has directed all concerned authorities to ensure 100 per cent compliance within the stipulated timelines.
